18 Ocak 2014 tarihinde, hükümetin getirmek istediği yeni internet yasaklarını protesto etmek isteyen gruba polis TOMAlar ve biber gazıyla müdahale etti. Müdahale ilerleyen saatlerde Balo Sokak ve Nevizade civarında yoğunlaştı.
On January 18th 2014, the police interferred with riot vehicles and pepper gas a group protesting the new plans of the government banning the internet. The interference grew at later hours at Nevizade and Balo Streets.
