France’s Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced some 2,000 police officers and gendarmes would be mobilized in the Paris suburbs, particularly in the Hauts-de-Seine, to prevent further urban violence in response to the death of a young motorist killed by police in Nanterre, a Paris suburb.
