On January 10th, 2024, Officer Kijowski, Officer Akerson, and Officer Ajrulla were dispatched to investigate a battery that allegedly occurred at a gym in Skokie, Illinois. Upon arrival, they met with the complainant who has been fully redacted from the video and she stated she was approached by a subject, identified as Richard, who asked her if she would be interested in a free massage. She believed that he was an employee of the gym due to his demeanor and sales pitch. Once inside the massage room, she stated Richard began to massage her legs and worked his way up. She also stated that Richard moved her shirt up, which made her uncomfortable, and that she wished to sign a complaint for battery. Richard was located soon after in the hot tub of the gym and was extremely uncooperative with officers.
