A search for a reportedly armed person has led to nearby evacuations and shelter-in-place in a south Sacramento area neighborhood, police said. Officers are along Essen Way off of Cosumnes River Boulevard. The Sacramento Police Department said it believes the person is somewhere within a perimeter that officers established.
