ALL PERSON(S) ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
On November 19, 2023, Kade W. Ross, 25, of Fort Bliss, was driving on Country Club Road when a Texas State Trooper, observed him operating a vehicle with expired registration. The trooper also observed his license plate was improperly displayed. During the traffic stop, a DPS Special Agent asked Mr. Ross to exit the vehicle, during his conversation with Mr. Ross, he noticed signs of impairment. The DPS Special Agent informed the primary trooper of his observations. Mr. Ross was asked to perform a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests’ (SFSTs) to which he failed. It can be seen in the body and dash cam footage that Mr. Ross is struggling to maintain his balance and failed to put his foot heel-to-toe more than once.
Troopers’ arrested Mr. Ross for Driving Under the Influence (more or equal to 0.15), A Class A Midemeanor. If convicted, he could face up to one year in jail, a fine of not more than $4,000, or both.
