Eleven traffic officers have been arrested on the N1 between Polokwane and Musina and at the transport department offices in Polokwane for alleged corruption.
They allegedly solicited bribes from motorists.
The arrests follow lengthy investigations by the department’s agency, Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC), and the Hawks.
Some officers were also arrested for similar offences in Groblersdal.
