INCIDENT DETAILS:
A National City police officer attempted to pull over a Mercedes sedan for not displaying front license plates. The vehicle failed to yield and a short pursuit ensued. The pursuit came to a stop in a alley on the 1700 block of E. Fourth St. Both Driver and front passenger of the vehicle got out and fled. The passenger of the vehicle fled with several bags of items. He was caught hiding shortly after in a restroom of El Toyon Park. The driver of the vehicle was seen running into a nearby apartment complex. Police setup a perimeter with the assistance of Chula Vista Police and San Diego County Sheriff’s Helicopter.
