– People wearing “In God we trust” shirts as they shove police officers to the ground
– A huge banner bearing the name of Jesus hung outside the Capitol by a group of insurrectionists after they broke in.
Wednesday’s violent, insurrectionist riot was not an aberration; it was a revelation. It may not reflect who we hope to be, but it is who we are right now. We cannot get where we want to go without telling the truth about where we are. It’s time for truth-telling.
