On July 23, 2023, a Wisconsin State Trooper engaged in a vehicle pursuit with a driver who refused to stop in Dunn County, WI. Dunn County Sheriff’s deputies later joined the chase as the suspect vehicle reached speeds nearing 140 mph. The pursuit concluded after stop sticks disabled the vehicle, leading to the male driver’s peaceful surrender. Further investigation revealed the man was an active-duty Marine traveling from Bismarck, ND to Camp Lejeune, NC. When questioned about his motives for fleeing, deputies were stunned by his explanation.
