ON FEBRUARY 24TH, 2024, AKRON POLICE INITIATED A PURSUIT AFTER ATTEMPTING TO PULL OVER A PICKUP TRUCK FOR MISREGISTRATION. THE DRIVER CHOSE NOT TO STOP AND LED OFFICERS ON A BRIEF CHASE. THE DRIVER WAS ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO THE SUMMIT COUNTY JAIL ON A LIST OF CHARGES. THE DRIVER IS INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
