The cops promise not to use your physical ailments or disabilities against you during field sobriety tests…. DON’T trust them.
When a cop asks you to do a field sobriety test, they will use everything against you in order to make an arrest. They will leave it up to your defense attorney to bring up the reasons you struggled on those tests, it’s not their concern.
So, what should you do? ALWAYS say NO to field sobriety tests. Think about it, how many times have you seen someone do these tests and NOT go to jail? As a defense attorney, I have seen people who are stone cold sober do these tests, fail, and get arrested for a DWI. Don’t let that be you.
