Berkeley students peacefully protesting on the main street of Telegraph Ave. Police armed with riot gear, charged at students, threw smoke canisters, tear gas, bean bags, and rubber bullets. Many were beaten and had to be hospitalized. There is no justification for militarized police presence at peaceful protests. There is a clear difference between activists and rioters. There is a clear difference in activists and looters. The media is not showing you what we, the students, are dealing with on the ground.
