At about 11:15 PM, on Friday, May 31, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested William White, 42, of Dorchester, on firearm and drug charges. Officers responded to the area of 469 Blue Hill Avenue for a report of a fight. As officers arrived on scene, they heard a person state to the suspect to leave the area since he had a gun on him. Officers immediately exited their marked cruiser and approached the suspect.
Officers attempted to conduct a pat frisk of the suspect, but he pushed officers’ hands away from him. Officers were able to gain control of the suspect and recovered a firearm from his waistband. As officers searched the suspect they also recovered a plastic bag containing crack cocaine. The firearm was later determined to be a J.A. Nine with one round in the chamber and twelve rounds in the magazine. The crack cocaine was also determined to weigh approximately eight grams.
White was placed under arrest and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large capacity feeding device, and possession of class B. He was arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
