Corrupt Clueless Cops Making Illegal Arrest! Huge ID Refusal! Incoming Lawsuit!
In Stuttgart, Arkansas police officers respond to a 911 call placed by a woman claiming to be the ex-wife of the man in this video, the caller stated that she believed her ex-husband was s*icidal and reported him to be at a local Walmart, shortly thereafter, police officers responded to the scene of the Walmart and located the suspect, upon making contact with the suspect, a female police officer made verbal inquiries to the man to gather information about his current situation, however upon initial contact, the man declined to answer any questions and asked if he was being detained, when the police officer advised him that he was not being detained in that they were just there to perform a welfare check he walked away from the scene, this is when the female officer signaled two her colleague to intervene, from here, the second police officer approached the man and told him that he needed to halt his bodily movement because he was being detained, claiming that s*icide is alleged crime, the man advised that he was not s*icidal, however after a mildly tense back-and-forth dialogue between the suspect and the officer, the police officer made the decision to arrest the suspect on a charge that he verbalized to be “obstruction with an investigation”. It is unclear how the suspect would have committed such a crime, or if any actual crime was committed. Notably, friends of the suspect have since set up a GoFundMe account online and are raising money to pay funds for legal counsel to bring a lawsuit against the responsible Police Department.
