The Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court has sentenced Parvez Parvaz to 7 years imprisonment for tarnishing the image of many public representatives including the then MP of Gorakhpur and Mahant of Gorakshpeeth, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This case is related to the 2007 riots in Gorakhpur, in which the court has sentenced the plaintiff Parvez Parvaz to a fine of Rs 10,000 and seven years in jail in the case against CM Yogi.
