On September 29th, 2024, officers responded to a trespassing call at a bar on Duval Street, where they encountered an agitated man shouting loudly and displaying aggressive behavior. As they approached him, he confronted one officer, prompting a physical response when he swatted the officer’s hand away. Despite attempts to de-escalate the situation, the man continued to resist and shout, leading officers to decide to arrest him. During the struggle, he physically resisted their attempts to handcuff him, requiring officers to bring him to the ground to secure him. After finally restraining him, the officers searched his belongings and transported him to the police station for further investigation. He was later charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer due to his aggressive actions and noncompliance.
