On August 31, 2024, an officer stopped a vehicle for reckless driving and speeding. The female driver was uncooperative, refusing to provide identification or vehicle information and offering conflicting accounts about who was driving. After shifting responsibility to her male companion, the officer questioned him, but he became evasive when asked about drugs, despite the strong odor of narcotics emanating from the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed a large quantity of illegal drugs. When the officer attempted to arrest the woman, she resisted and became hysterical, but he successfully secured her in the police vehicle. She was later charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, possession of illegal drugs, and reckless driving.
