On October 22nd, 2023, officers in Ohio were dispatched to an intersection after receiving calls reporting a large crowd in the area. Upon arrival, officers observed a woman surrounded by friends attempting to calm her down. On the opposite side of the sidewalk, a man was also being restrained by his friends. The woman, later identified as the suspect, began to yell and swear at officers when asked to leave. The suspect’s continued aggression led to a confrontation when she pushed one of her friends and was subsequently placed under arrest.
As the suspect was being detained, she struck an officer in the face, resulting in her temporary loss of consciousness. Medical personnel were called, and the suspect regained consciousness, becoming combative again with officers. The suspect kicked an officer in the leg and was placed in hand restraints. Despite her initial refusal of medical attention, the suspect was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Throughout the incident, she remained uncooperative and had to be restrained during the transport.
Witnesses at the scene mentioned that the suspect had assaulted a male individual, sparking the initial argument. The suspect was charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Persistent Disorderly Conduct.
