A police officer who was said to be a crucial witness in the case against alleged police imposter Joshua Waiganjo shocked the magistrate court in Nakuru when he turned up drunk at the witness box. Chief Inspector Boit Wafula was immediately arrested and charged with drunkenness and disorderly behaviour, for which he was slapped with a 50,000 shillings bond.
