Around 3:02 AM on September 20, 2024, Investigator Robert Drake with the Lakewood Police Department located an intoxicated female who was lying on the ground on the 13100 block of Detroit Avenue. He made contact with the female, who was identified as Rachel. Rachel told him that she wanted to go home, and Investigator Drake asked her to call a sober adult that could come and pick her up. Rachel was uncooperative and did not seem to comprehend what was happening. She continued to insist on taking an Uber home, but the officers told her that they could only release her to another sober adult.

Based on her obvious state of inebriation, Rachel was placed under arrest. Officer Christina Bridges conducted a search of her incident to arrest and transported her to the Lakewood Police Department. Rachel and charged with Disorderly Conduct; Intoxication (§ 509.03) and eventually released pending her court appearance in the Lakewood Municipal Court on September 26, 2024.
