On June 17th, 2023, officers in Ohio were called to a bar’s parking lot after receiving a report of a woman attempting to drive home intoxicated. On arrival, officers located the suspect inside the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Upon the officer’s attempts to talk with the suspect, she began screaming and swearing at them. The suspect denied having been drinking, even as officers stated they could smell an odor of alcohol coming from her. Officers asked the suspect to exit the vehicle and place her under arrest.
Officers placed the suspect into a patrol car as the suspect’s friend, brother, and other witnesses approached the officers. The suspect’s friend told officers he had taken the suspect’s car keys to prevent her from driving home drunk. The suspect repeatedly asked the officers to take her home and continued to shout from inside the patrol car. Officers issued the suspect a citation and court summons for Disorderly Conduct before taking her home.
