The Kent State Police were summoned after a passerby spotted an intoxicated young woman lying in front of a dormitory entrance. When officers arrived, they found three drunk college students standing outside the dorm room entrance. The unconscious woman, later identified as Emma Roig from Middleburg Heights, was checked by paramedics and released. The other two individuals were Madison (Maddie) Mattila, also from Middleburg Heights, and Michael Crouch from Brook Park. Both Madison and Michael were charged with underage alcohol consumption, issued summonses, and required to appear in court. According to Portage County court filings, only Madison and Michael received citations and were enrolled in a county diversion program. Notably, the incident occurred on Michael’s birthday. It seems Emma partied a bit too hard but fortunately avoided any legal repercussions.
