Major routes leading to KwaZulu-Natal and other provinces are experiencing high traffic volumes as South Africans make their way to their holiday destinations ahead of Christmas.
Over 50 vehicles were removed from the road at Marianhill toll plaza in KwaZulu-Natal after they were found unroadworthy.
Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa led a multi-disciplinary roadblock there as part of the festive road safety campaign.
