Limpopo police, in collaboration with National and Provincial Traffic Police, conducted a major roadblock along the N1 road on December 19, 2024, successfully targeting criminal activity and improving road safety. The operation led to the arrest of three suspects, two for attempted bribery and one for fraud, highlighting the authorities’ commitment to tackling corruption and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations. A total of 32 traffic fines were issued, mainly for unroadworthy vehicles, and five vehicles were impounded for safety violations. These actions are part of a broader initiative to create safer roads during the festive season. In addition, law enforcement officials engaged with security at Savannah Mall in Polokwane to enhance public safety and prevent criminal activity in high-traffic areas. This initiative reflects a comprehensive approach to both road safety and community engagement.
