We can’t allow what divides us as individuals undermine what unites as neighbors. The community of Wyoming should always rise above the political divisions
My wife Jennifer and I could not be more proud to call Wyoming home. Our son, Bryce is a fourth generation Wyoming resident. Community service has been something that has been a driving force in my life. Serving my country in the US Marine Corps was a first-hand reminder that freedom isn’t free and we are only the land of the free because of the brave. After 9/11 I felt like I had to do something more for our community, so I joined the Wyoming Fire Department where I served for almost 15 years. During my time as a volunteer firefighter in Wyoming, I came up with the idea that I could create new ways for firefighters to help improve safety and with that idea, I started a small start-up out of the trunk of my car. As sales increased, I eventualy moved operations to a small second story office in the heart of Wyoming’s Village Green. My first employee s were my fellow Wyoming neighbors. That small start-up has grown into a global business that now exports to over 25 countries and almost every state in the USA. The governor of Ohio named me Entrepreneur of the Year, I was invited to testify in front of the Congressional Small Business Committee and I was even invited to the White House. I am privileged to now have the opportunity to continue to serve my community as a member of Wyoming City Council.
“Rather than focusing on our differences, I believe we should focus on what we all have in common. Wyoming’s most cherished resource is our community and I am committed to maintaining the city’s vision of our small town charm while preserving our our safe, welcoming and diverse residential community experience.” -Zach Green
Community Dog Park
One of the first things I will do, if elected to Wyoming City Council will be to explore options on how we can make Wyoming even more welcoming to our four legged friends by giving them their own dog park. They may even allow their owners to join in the fun.
Environment
Our trees, green space and parks are not only beautiful, they are essential treasures that need to be nurtured and preserved. I am committed to making sure that we are always stewards of our environment.
Diversity
Our diversity is what makes us who we are. Racial, political, sexual orientation and socio-economic diversity is one of the reasons I am so proud to live in this community. I will always be a champion of diversity and will always fight to ensure that what makes us unique is also what makes us so great.
Infrastructure
Wyoming is privileged to have a public works department that is second to none. I am committed to ensure that we support our human and physical capital so that Wyoming streets and infrastructure is clean, safe and well-maintained.
Community
One of our most cherished attributes is our small-town feel. We must ensure that our character and identity is maintained while at the same time looking to the future as we preserve our historic preservation and economic development. Wyoming should be a place that all of our residents and neighbors have the opportunity to cultivate new and existing friendships at our unique restaurants, community events and businesses.
Safety
Safety is an area that no citizen should ever have to worry about. I will ensure that the safety of our citizens will always be one of my top priorities. Our police, fire and EMS should always be held to the highest standards and always have the tools and support they need to protect our citizens while at the same time ensure they can perform their jobs with safety and respect.
