Greens defence spokesman David Shoebridge has doubled down on his fierce condemnation of the Melbourne Land Forces expo, branding the arms fair an “extraordinarily dystopian festival”.
The senator spoke earlier today at the anti-war rally which sparked clashes with police earlier this week, with Defence Minister Richard Marles accusing him of embracing “thuggery”.
But Mr Shoebridge continued his support for the protesters in a video shared on his Twitter page, calling the event “disturbing”. In the video’s caption, he also claimed he saw “politicians looking for their next job”.
