City and state officials gathered today to remind the public of the dangers of drinking and driving, especially during the holiday season. Mothers Against Drunk Driving along with Park Hawaii and Dietrich Insurance hosted the annual tie one on for safety event. First responders, the Coast Guard and a woman who lost a family member to a drunk driver urged others to plan ahead and be safe.
On April 22nd, 2020, my oldest brother Cory was struck and killed by a motorist who was driving under the influence alcohol made him feel invincible. Alcohol gave him permission to disregard all the rules of the road. Every driver in his path was in grave danger that day and at risk of losing their lives.
