STORYLINE:
An armed Palestinian was shot and killed south of the West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday according to the Israeli army.
Military sources said that the man was shot during Israeli Defence Force (IDF) operations next to the village of Pachma.
According to the army, soldiers stopped the man’s vehicle in order to check it, when one of the passengers got out of the car and drew a gun.
The man was then shot and killed at the scene.
Another passenger was arrested and brought to the Shin Bet security service for questioning.
