On June 24th, 2023m officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in reference to a woman having problems with her ex-boyfriend. On their arrival, they met a woman named Maria Sanchez who explained that her ex had taken her phone and keys without her consent. According to officers, she was talking in circles and was unable to answer the officer’s questions. She denied being under the influence although she was becoming increasingly belligerent.
Throughout the interaction, Sanchez had to be redirected by officers multiple times as she was yelling and screaming in the hallway of the condo complex to retrieve her belonging. After multiple attempts by officers to de-escalate the situation, Maria was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting without violence.
