Kolkata Doctor Murder Case LIVE: Students Clash with Police as they Protest Against Doctor’s Murder
Members of Paschimbanga Chattro Samaj, a student organisation clashed with the police personnel during a ‘March to Nabanna’ at at Santragachi in Howrah. During the protests, some of the students climbed up the police barricades and raised slogans demanding justice for the trainee doctor who was allegedly raped and murdered at the R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. In response to the protests, the police personnel released water via canons at these protestors. The student organisation is using slogans from Bangladesh for its march to the Secretariat. “ Dafa Ek, Daabi Ek, Mamataar Podotyag (One point, one demand, resignation of Mamata)” is one of the slogans raised by those who have given a call for the rally.
