The United Nations has condemned Bangladesh for allegedly using UN-marked armored vehicles and helicopters to suppress ongoing student protests. Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud faced tough questions from diplomats, including the US ambassador, over the government’s deadly crackdown that has killed over 150 protesters demanding reforms to the civil service job quota system. Mahmud showed a video blaming demonstrators for the violence, but diplomats criticized the one-sided portrayal. The UN is investigating the alleged misuse of its equipment as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina faces her biggest challenge in 15 years. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this developing story.
