PETALING JAYA: Two men were injured after they sped off on a motorcycle in an attempt to avoid being arrested at a police MCO roadblock. Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said police chased after the two men, aged 28 and 34, after they disobeyed instructions to stop at the roadblock on Jalan Templer around 4am on Sunday (April 12). “The duo crashed their motorcycle during the chase and the impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to hit and damage one of the patrol cars. “They then tried to flee on foot but police managed to catch up with them,” he said. He said a struggle then ensued between police and the two men, which left them with minor injuries to their faces, arms and legs. ACP Nik Ezanee said one of the men was carrying a bag containing various items such as lighters, hardware tools, flashlights and a machete.
