I like history & read a lot about different things like WW1 & 2 and The American Civil War, but also social issues like the civil rights movemnet since the Reconstruction after the Civil War was such a failure on so many levels. Blacks should have be granted rights decades before. But I find it so strange that so many blacks are angry at whites today, Some are flat out racist. Of course there are many racists whites too. But looking into the Civil Rights, it’s clear to see progressive free thinking white men and women not just the baby boomers joined the blacks in their fight for equality. In Mississippi in 1964 Andrew Goodman, James Earl Chaney & Michael Henry Schwerner were murdered by the KKK Goodman & Schwerner were white. They went to Missipissi to help with blacks receiving voting rights. Martin Luther King and others died for equality. It’s like today’s world, their death seems like it’s in vain in the minds of some people hellbent on hate regardless of race. This video shows they’ll always be ignorant fools who can’t see past skin color as to whether or not a person is a good or not, but they’ll always be people to stand up for equality and a sense of justice. This country has come a long way since the 60’s but lately it looks like it’s heading backwards. Police and all civil servants need to held accountable for their actions and take mandatory sensitivity training. The public, both black and whites need to step back and work together as they did in the 60’s. As for troublemaking racists, well they ALL need to be held accountable for their actions. Both blacks and whites. The world is looking at us and laughing. Enough with racism, it’s counterproductive. I added a few photos at the end of the Dallas Police shooting because it shows blacks and whites working together. No racism. They were a team. There was a dangerous threat and they had lives to protect. As for current violence against blacks by police. I can’t say. I wasn’t there I don’t have all the evidence, but if they were killed or mistreated by the police unjustly the officer(s) should be charged with a crime like an ordinary citizen. A badge doesn’t give anyone a right to hurt another. Oh, for the recond I was born after the Civil Rights Movement heyday in 1971, so I know nothing about this 1st hand. But understanding history, one understands oneself better and has more respect for others.
