More than 300,000 people attended a demonstration in Tel Aviv calling for the Israeli government to agree a ceasefire deal, according to organisers, the Hostage Families Forum.
Demonstrators descended on one of the city’s major motorways, the Ayalon Highway, with cars at a standstill.
The demonstration took place hours after the funerals for some of the six hostages found dead in Gaza began to take place.
