Riot police armed with tear gas, batons and guns violently remove a non-violent boy. He was sitting down and put on a dust mask. The police said he was arming himself. With a dust mask? Police also referred to his sleeping pad as a shield.
The police threatened violence by impact and chemical agents last night and used some. I would recommend a gas mask, but if all you got is a dust mask…
Mayor Sam Adams infringed on and continues to infringe upon our constitutional rights to free speech and freedom of assembly. He also closed two public parks to the public to help to shut down our first amendment rights.
Hopefully the ACLU, lawyers and others will volunteer their time to stop the Mayor and the city of Portland from disobeying our constitutional rights.
Mayor Adams is not doing the right thing.
