OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Police Department released bodycam footage showing a man being arrested on a plane earlier this month.
A D.C. flight bound for Los Angeles had to be diverted to Oklahoma City back on Dec. 9.
Oklahoma City Police said 35-year-old Ariel Pennington was among those on the plane and that he assaulted a flight attendant.
The plane made an emergency landing in Oklahoma City and Pennington was escorted off the plane by police.
The plane was on the ground for an hour before it took off again.
In a statement, Delta praised the “quick action and professionalism” of its crew and air marshals for their handling of the situation.
The FBI is now investigating the incident.
Pennington was booked into jail on complaints of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
