After a chaotic night of unrest in Hartlepool, sparked by public outrage over the Southport stabbings earlier this week, peace was finally reinstated. The town was rocked by violent confrontations between the police and protestors, culminating in officers being pelted with missiles and several police vehicles torched amidst the turmoil. Denise admits she’s very worried about the riots and worried for her family during periods of unrest, but understands why some people are so easily mobilised, whereas Kaye says it makes her feel deeply sad.
