Brazilian authorities have detained over 1,500 supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro who participated in storming key buildings in Brasilia including the presidential palace, Congress and Supreme Court. Protesters called for military intervention to oust newly elected President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Bolsonaro has condemned the “invasions of public buildings” by his supporters.
