Malik Muhammad Is Facing 28 Charges, Including One For The Attempted Murder Of A Police Officer In Portland Oregon During Riots Over The Summer.
A man from Indiana has been charged with attempted murder for his role in the violent riots that happened last summer in Portland, Oregon.
Malik Muhammed, 24, was arrested Friday on eight warrants after he allegedly threw numerous firebombs at officers and broke windows and doors out of buildings.
The District Attorney’s Office announced a 28-count indictment against Muhammed, including inciting a riot, unlawful possession of a destructive device, unlawful possession of a firearm, and several counts of attempted murder and attempted assault.
Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell said in a statement, “I am grateful to the investigators who spent many hours over the last few months following up these violent attacks against police officers and the community,” he said, “More investigations are underway. Anyone who thinks they can get away with trying to murder police officers and destroy this city should think again.”
Muhammed will now be extradited to Oregon.
Portland police said Muhammed could be seen allegedly throwing a firebomb at an officer, scorching the officer’s uniform. In a different incident Police say Muhammed threw a yellow ignitable device at officers.
Chief Chuck Lovell said,
“Anyone who thinks they can get away with trying to murder police officers and destroy this city should think again.”

And In October.. They Say Muhammad Caused Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars In Damage.. Including Breaking Out Windows At The Oregon Historical Society.
But Before He Was In Oregon.. He Was Spreading A Message Of Peace In Indiana.

Days After His Walk To The Governor’s Residence.. Muhammad Talked With The Governor Himself.
In An Interview With News 8 Following That Meeting.. Muhammad Told Us He Was An Army Veteran … And Was Running A Small Dairy Farm In Delaware County.
About A Week Later .. Muhammad Sat For His Final Interview With News 8.. And Said He Had Been Followed And Harrassed By Police.
