This is a short video of the beginning of the 2008 Republican National Convention protest march in St. Paul, Minnesota. I was standing on the corner of 7th St. and St. Peter filming the march as it moved west, when north of my position there was a loud bang. Several people took off running in that direction and a handful of punks/anarchists (for lack of a better description) came running from that direction. Otherwise most people, including the riot police, didn’t respond.
