Scene A starts with Mrs. Choi as she and her son visit where she lived on the island of Dokdo with her father many years ago. The Scene continues as Mrs. Choi expresses to her children how she wants them to continue her fight for her father’s forgotten legacy.
Scene B shows Noh Byeong Man begins his protest in Japan. He details how his father was forced into slavery and exported to Japan during the time of occupation, and that is where his strong emotions towards Japan began. He struggles to be visible as the Japanese police try to shield his protest from public eyes.
