Been working as a journalist for almost a year, I think its time to flash back what I have earned during this wonderful times.
Sure its not always the good times; I got the ups and downs twisting almost every single day. But I think, being the very first person to witness national disaster, demonstration, huge riot, or corruptions done by our government and report it to public, teach me to take such a big responsibility. Of myself.
Whatever happens in the place I suppose to cover the news, Journalist is the one who truly able make decision amongst all options.
Thus, I learn to take this reaction as what matter most:
“Keep calm and behave, no matter how rude the situation might be.”
Once, you get panic, you only end up make it worse: You get unclear & inaccurate informations to report that could possibly drive public into misunderstanding.
So its obvious that keeping self under control, and not getting panic, are most important points.
Another benefit I get during this blissful year?
Links. 🙂
This kind of occupation give me such a golden chance to be friends with everyone; governor, mayor, head of federal police of Republic Indonesia even the ministers.
So from this points, I am extremely grateful.
For being able to live my life’s passion. To be the person that take part in your daily live: giving people info abt what is going on with this nation thru the news. To be able to contribute something to this living, and be useful as human being.
I strongly expect, that the news could change the situation in sometime later.
Or at least, if it doesnt change the situation, it changes Us. It gives more eager to change ourself better.. 🙂
Well.. 2013 is almost over. But am sure, despite of regretting things that haven’t done, there must be many more things to be grateful for. As for me, having the opportunity to do what I love, and find new family, are things that make my 2013, so colorful & meaningful.
Thank you…2013. You rocks. 🙂
