👻 Hi! I’m Mr Ghost. I am Public Investigator and I film public documentaries. I also take my tripod and camera out in the open and document how the public reacts to me. I have a Master’s in Psychology, undergrad minor in Sociology, and I have many years of experience in studying human behavior and interaction. I am currently researching a psychological phenomenon I have given the name “CameraPhobia.” Scopophobia, or camera phobia, is the excessive fear of being watched. But even if one isn’t excessively afraid of a camera, humans are hardwired to kick into fight-or-flight mode when they’re being watched. These videos have immense historical value, and I hope my research has a lasting, positive effect in the field of human behavior.
FAQ:
– Why are you doing this?
I am researching why some people act the way they do in responce to an unusual, but harmless, event – such as a handsome man like me with a tripod and camera. Human behavior fascinates me. I also enjoy researching law.
– Are you looking for a reaction?
Nope! Also, I do NOT want police to show up, what a massive waste of resources over constitutionally protected dactivity. My only intent is to go out in public and legally and peacefully conduct my social experiments, all while minding my own business. I intentionally try to keep a good amount of distance between me and everyone else, respecting everyone’s personal space. My camera is equiped with optical zoom! Also, I do not speak to anyone, I only reply when spoken to. I have absolutely no control over the behavior of other people. Any one that contacts me is doing so on their own free will.
– Why do people think consent is needed to be filmed?
Most people don’t know that the Supreme Court has ruled Americans can video record and photograph absolutely anything and everything the eye can see, as long as the individual recording is on public property. Private property owners are free to make their own rules regarding video recording on premises. Every person and private property owner is responsible for creating their own privacy and what they want exposed to the public.
– Why do you conceal your identity?
I am so handsome that if I show my face, all the women would be hounding me for a date – JK! Our First Amendment Rights are not only about video recording in public, but also about the freedom to dress and express ourselves as we see fit. Women wear hair wigs, so why can’t men wear beard wigs? That’s equality – My body, My choice.
– What is First Amendment Auditing?
1A Auditing, a practice gaining momentum in civil rights activism, involves individuals exercising their constitutional rights by filming and documenting interactions with law enforcement, or government officials in public spaces. These audits aim to uphold transparency, accountability, and adherence to civil liberties, often garnering attention for encounters involving free speech, recording, and public access rights. Advocates utilize social media platforms to disseminate audit footage, sparking discussions on police conduct, accountability measures, and constitutional protections. As these audits continue to trend, they serve as a catalyst for public discourse on the balance between individual freedoms and governmental authority, shaping perceptions and policies surrounding civil liberties in the digital age.

“When in public spaces where you are lawfully present you have the right to photograph anything that is in plain view. It is not illegal to record someone without their consent in a public place if they are visible and audible, especially if they don’t have reasonable expectations of privacy. In public, one does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy.”
