A yearslong effort by the U.S. to prosecute Julian Assange hit another roadblock on Monday. The UK’s high court ruled that the Australian Wikileaks founder can continue appealing his extradition. Assange has spent the last five years in a British prison, and seven before that in the Ecuador embassy. He faces a total of 175 years behind bars on 17 counts of espionage.
