On November 28, 2023, father was called to the Thousand Oaks Police Station to report a violent student with a gun at Moorpark High School. Instead of handling the situation properly, the police subjected him to a shocking and illegal ambush. They treated him just like they did to me (16 years old), my mother, my brother (15 years old), my cousin (14 years old), and my 9-month-old nephew on the freeway—completely wrong and inexcusable.
The officers had no warrant and used their weapons to scare us, creating an incredibly traumatic experience for my entire family. They arrested my father without even reading him his Miranda rights, even though we have clear footage showing he did not resist. He was calmly complying throughout the encounter. During my own wrongful arrest, I was also denied the prompt reading of my Miranda rights. They only read them to me after an unjust delay, while I was held in a room at their station without a legal guardian or lawyer present. This was part of their deceitful and abusive behavior.
Kate Lynn Occhipinti is the one behind all these false and fraudulent reports, causing this nightmarish situation for our family.
