On July 8th, 2021, a highly intoxicated female driver caused a crash damaging private property, prompting an officer’s response. The officer, detecting a strong alcohol odor, conducted field sobriety tests, including the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus, Walk and Turn, and One-Leg Stand, all of which the driver failed. Despite her uncooperative behavior and admission of being a doctor, the officer professionally arrested her for DUI. At the station, her agitation continued, and she was charged in court with driving under the influence, property damage, and disorderly conduct based on the sobriety test results, officer observations, and the caller’s report.
