In a recent development, the Rajasthan government has taken swift action by suspending an IAS and an IPS officer, along with six other employees, following their involvement in a violent altercation at a prominent restaurant on the Ajmer-Kishangarh highway. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, June 12, and the government’s response was prompted by the emergence of CCTV footage, which was reported to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday. Girdhar, the commissioner of Ajmer Development Authority, and Sushil Kumar, an IPS officer recently transferred to Gangpur City, were among those suspended. The altercation took place when the officials and their friends visited the restaurant around 2:25 am, leading to a confrontation with sleeping workers outside the establishment.
