Mobs erupted across multiple towns and cities in England last week, in the worst rioting in 13 years. The eruption of anti-immigrant and far-right violence has seen demonstrators attacking mosques as well as hotels that shelter asylum seekers, clashing with police officers, and causing widespread unrest. Bruce Wilson, director of RMIT University’s European Union Centre of Excellence, tells CNA’s Asia Now what sparked the unrest.
