On May 26th, 2023, in Florida, police officers blocked a road intersection, prompting Instagram and TikTok creator Isabel Bedoya to attempt driving through the roadblock, leading to a confrontation with the officers. When the officers stopped her vehicle, she refused to roll down her window, preventing any communication. Despite repeated requests, Bedoya remained unresponsive, frustrating the officer who eventually opened her car door and pulled her out, handcuffing her to control the situation. Bedoya cried and protested loudly during the arrest, refusing to enter the patrol car and questioning the reason for her arrest. A female officer later arrived and asked her to step out for proper procedural handling. Bedoya remained uncooperative, refusing sobriety tests and asserting her status as a social media influencer. She was eventually transported to the police station, where she faced charges of resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
