Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers arrested Esther Paragulla, 33, last month. However, apparently, she had no clue why.
Now, dash and body camera video is shedding new light on the incident.
Authorities say Paragulla had 10 cruisers chasing her for miles in Trumbull County and on into Portage County. The pursuit lasted almost 30 minutes.
The footage shows it was a cloudy and rainy day on June 29 as a car whizzed by OSHP. With lights and sirens, they tried to stop the driver, with cruiser after cruiser joining on the chase.
“If she comes to another stop, somebody grab the stop sticks and toss them in front of her car,” one trooper can be heard saying inside his vehicle.
The troopers had already used the stop sticks when the driver hit speeds of more than 100 mph. Then, finally, the car started slowing down
“Pull it over and give it up,” one trooper shouted.
The vehicle then stopped, with law enforcement drawing their guns. After a passenger is brought to the ground, the scene becomes bizarre, for when police told Paragulla she was under arrest, she asked, “For what?”
